Biography
“Elizabeth da. to Thomas Hill sister & heire to Sr. Rowland Hill Kt. maior of London [1549, who purchased Haghmond].” [1]
In the Will of Elizabeth's brother Sir Rowland Hill in 1561, Elizabeth is called Elizabeth Rode. [2]
The Visitation of Cheshire shows that Thomas Rode married as his second wife Elizabeth Hall [sic] daughter of Thomas Hall [sic] of Buntingsdale. [3]
In 1597, Thomas Rode's son Randoll, by his first wife, Alice Moreton, enfeoffed his brother-in-law Rowland Barker of Haughmond, who was Elizabeth Hill Barker Rode's grandson, brother of Randoll's wife, Anne Barker. [4]
