Jane was born about 1568, the daughter of John Northwood but her mother is unknown. The place is not known.

Her husband was William Hotchkiss, who she married in ABT 1593. The place has not been found. Their three known children were Richard (c1595-c1645), Phoebe (c1596-?) and Danyell (c1597-?).

The pedigree of this family was entered at the Heralds’ Visitation of Shropshire in 1663, as follows: —

I. William Hotchkis, of Hoxwood in the County of Salop, descended in direct line from tHotchkiss of Hoxwood to whom these Arms were given by Richard III.

Note: Possible since her husband was living in London previously, but source said her father was John Northwood of shropshire. It is the same location as a possible birth near London for her father. This would make sense if the Northwood family of Shropshire maintained a home in Croydon to be near London. The problem is they weren’t related to the nearby Northwood family there.
