Joice was born about 1538, the daughter of Richard Burnaston but her mother is unknown. The place is not known.

She had two marriages/partners. Her first husband was Thomas Hynxman. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Ursula (c1570-?).

Her second husband was Humphrey Hill. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. They had no known children.
