Marriage

Hugo Wlonkeslow de Wlonkeslow in com. Salop married Alicia filia Roberti. [1]

From the Visitation, we are told that his wife was named Alice , and that his wife's father was Robert but we do not know her surname. He appears to have married a woman named Alice born in 1279, but there is uncertainty whether she was Alice FitzAlan or Alice FitzWarin.

She is not the daughter of, as some genealogies show, of Fulk FitzWarin and Margaret de la Pole, who were married before 25 Feb 1276/7. [2] Richardson reports that Fulk and Margaret had three sons, Fulk, Knt , William, K.G; and John, and two daughters, Hawise and Mabel [2]. but does not note a daughter named Alice. Cawley does not take his narrative of Margaret and Fulk Fitzwaren to the next generation. Alice was previously shown in WikiTree as the child of Fulk and Margaret, but has been disconnected from this relationship.
