Notes

Note 1

!Note: Although Hingekes typically wouldn’t meet criteria [starting with "Hi-"], this was included due to its location in a known Hotchkiss area, and matching the 1539 Pontesbury marriage of Elizabeth Hotchkiss and Hugo Griffin. The 26 Mar 1540 burial falls shortly after Hugo’s presumed plague death and six months before Elizabeth’s remarriage to Richard Catfyld on 27 Nov 1540. This was probably a stillbirth burial recorded under her maiden name in the absence of a surviving father.
