Children
James Baskerville [4]
Eleanor Baskerville[1] [4]
[uncertain] Joan Baskerville [1]
Jane Baskerville [1][4][5][6][7][8]
[uncertain] Anne Baskerville [4] [possibly the same person as Joan, or was a daughter of James rather than his sister].
Burke[1] stated that Richard Monington of Westhide, Herefordshire, married 'Joan' Baskerville, daughter of William Baskerville of Wootton, who was son of John Baskerville, son of Sir John Baskerville.
Robinson[9], however, in his Baskerville pedigree showed Eleanor Baskerville, 'Jane' Baskerville the wife of Richard Monington, and Jane Baskerville the wife of Thomas Pembrugge, as daughters of John Baskerville, son of Sir John Baskerville.
Career
The manor of Netherwood in Thornbury, Herefordshire, was granted to a William Baskerville by Henry VII in reward for his valiant services at the Battle of Bosworth.[10][11]
A William Baskervile of Wellington, Herefordshire, was recorded in the Close Rolls in 1505 in connection with John Wymark of London, fuller, and William Twigge of Newington, Middlesex, gentleman.[12]
in c 1540, Jane Manyngton, a granddaughter of William Baskervile, was concerned in a case regarding the manor of Wootton.[13]
Death
A William Baskerville Esq was buried on 08 Nov 1539 at Thornbury, Herefordshire.[10] It is unclear if the William Baskerville buried in 1539 was the same man that was at Bosworth in 1485.
Joan, late the wife of William Baskervyle of Netherwood, was recorded in connection with land at Horton and Thornbury, Herefordshire.[3]
