Howard Colby, 66, of Mill St., died unexpectedly on April 14. He was born on September 27, 1919 in Owego and was the son of Watson and Nellie Colby. He was an employee of Howland Brothers, Berkshire and is survived by his wife, Phidelia Colby, at home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Rupert, Newark Valley, Judy and Tom Brown, Spencer, Elizabeth and James Olmstead, Berkshire; a son Homer Colby at Home; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Harry Hinrichsen, Owego; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held at McPherson Funeral Home, Newark Valley. Interment followed in Center Lisle Cemetery.
