28/10/1782 MCDOUGAL JANET /JEAN BOYD U LARBERT

!Note: In tracing her mother to Jena McLuckie or Jean Boyd consider the following: The distance from Larbert to St. Ninians is only 7.77 miles and all her brothers and sisters were born after her in Airth. Allowing for bearing children at the extreme age range of 15 and 50, her possible birth years are 1779 - 1790, With Jean Hotchkiss born in 1805, 1786 would have Jean 21 and with Dainiel born in 1829 she would have been 43. If she were instead born in 1782 then she would have had Daniel at 47. While 1782 is possible, 1786 is much more likely. Also, unfortionately, there is no sign of what McDougal Jean Boyd had father her daughter. John McDougal and Jean McLuckie also fit perfectly with the traditional Scottish naming tradition here.
