Personal and Family Information

Agnes was the daughter of unknown parents. The date and place of her birth have not been found.

Her husband was John Hotchkiss / Hodgkins. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their three known children were Robert (c1469->1532), Alis (c1478-?) and William (c1480->1538).

Notes

Note 1

!Note: John does not explicitly name Agnes as his wife, but he refers to “my wife” as the person who will remain in possession of his tenement until her death. He then bequeaths kertelcloths—articles of personal clothing—to both Agnes Dultyng and Alis Pole, his daughter. No other individuals are named in the will except his curate, which suggests that everyone mentioned was closely tied to his household. This combination of clues strongly implies that Agnes Dultyng was his wife, and that Dultyng is her maiden name.
