D. JACK, of thi s city, was the scene of a happy event last evening, January 22nd, it being the marriage of their daughter, Minnie to Mr. James HOTCHKISS. - At the appointed hour, 6 p.m., the bride attired in a handsome suit of light brown cashmere and the groom , wearing the regulation black, attended by bridesmaid, Miss Famey HUTCHINSON and groomsman, Edward Hotchkiss, Jr., entered the parlor, where, surrounded by relatives and a few intimate friends, Rev. J.O. Foresman, of the First Methodist Church, p ronounced the sacred words which made them man and wife. After the wedding ceremony the guests were invited to the dining room where they partook of a bounteous repast which had been prepared for the occasion. - The bride, Miss Minnie JACK, is on e of Burlingame's most estimable young ladies, whose excellent character, pleasant disposition and winning ways have won the admiration and esteem of all who know her, and Mr. Hotchkiss is to be congratulated upon securing so good a prize. - The g room is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hotchkiss, Sr., of this city, and is a young man of good moral habits--sober, honest and industrious. - Both bride and groom have grown to womanhood and manhood in this community and have made a host of frien ds who wish them all the joys and blessings of this world in which the Enterprise joins. The happy couple will go to housekeeping on south Topeka avenue where the groom has had everything prepared. - Mr. and Mrs. Hotchkiss were the recipients of m any handsome presents. The following guests were present: Messrs, and Mesdames, Edward Hotchkiss, Sr., Colin WILSON, Robert Jack, Alexander Hotchkiss, Joseph FOSTER, Jas. HOOK; Misses, Famey Hutchinson, of Scranton, Mary Hotchkiss, Annie WILSON; M essrs. Edward Hotchkiss, Jr., and Thomas WASHINGTON.
