!P: Harriet Washington was born in Astbury, England, August 20, 1851, and departed this life January 7, 1926, at the age of 75 years. She came to this country in 1883 and later moved to Kansas, where she has since resided.
!P: She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Mr. James Washington, two sisters, Emily Buckley of Oldham, England, and Mary Oakes of Congleton, England, and eleven children, Tom Washington of Pittsburg, Kansas, William Washington of Excelsior Sp rings, Missouri, Emma Besson, Mary Meggison and Anna Hagge, all of Topeka Kansas, Ada Gimm of Davenport, Iowa, and Sarah Vandevord, Martha Burkett, Nellie Hotchkiss, Arthur Washington, and Artie Washington, all of Burlingame, Kan.
!P: The funeral services were held at the Methodist church on Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. John Endacott. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Gerald Waddle, Mrs. Wm. Powell, Rheul Backney, with Miss Pearl White, organist . The body was laid to rest in the Burlingame Cemetery.
!P: The sympathy of the community goes out to the aged husband, who left alonein his bereavement. May the hand of the Great Comforter be nigh unto him in his greatest of earthly sorrows. -----
