Ellen’s maiden name was Trumpeter which ties in with the Individual record for Richard Hotchkiss on y our web site. Their address was listed as 8 Limerick Passage, Tipton.

Thomas (20) married Eliza Foster (20) 26/6/1893 at St Marks Church, Oakenhill. There marriage certificate lists they were resident at Toll End, Tipton. Richard is listed as deceased.

From the 1901 census Thomas and Eliza had moved from Tipton to Huyton Quarry in Liverpool. Again, a misspelling of the surname. They were listed as Hodgkiss (which became a problem for my Grandfather later on)

George was born 14/5/1905 in Huyton. They were living in Hale View, Huyton Quarry.
At some stage they have moved to Ellesmere Port. Thomas was working in the Iron works.
