!Notes: Agnes KEMMERLING-[420](27, 28) was born on 19 Oct 1885 in Mineral Point, Iowa County, Wisconsin, died on 16 Jul 1904 in Mineral Point, Iowa County, Wisconsin 29 at age 18, and was buried on 17 Jul 1904 in St, Mary's Church In Mineral P oint, Wisc.. - General Notes: the 6th daughter and the 8th living child of Kathering Burghardt and William Kemmerling - Obituary: Mineral Point Tribune dated July 21, 1904 AT REST - Death has again stuck a shining mark, taking from our midst Agne s, the youngest daughter of Mrs. William Kemmerling. Deceased had been in failing health for some time and though receiving the tenderest care a fond mother could give, everything proved unavailing and last Saturday evening, the 16th, her spirit t ook its flight to its rest in Heaven. - Agnes was born in this city the 19th of October, 1885, and the eighteen years of her life were spent in this community. She had just finished her high school education, graduating in June with the class o f 1904. Her untiring energy and cheerful disposition in the school room won for her the highest esteem of both school mates and teachers. The floral tributes and kind sympathy of those and her many other friends cheering her greatly during her i llness. She was a member of St. Mary’s church and a true Christian. Her fidelity to her religious duties was one of the many ornaments which adorned her life. The funeral services were held Monday morning, Father Weyer performing the last rite s of the church, and delivering an eloquent funeral sermon. A large concourse of relatives and friends, including the class of ’04 and the St. Mary’s Sodality of which she was amember, were in attendance. The acting pallbearers were Willie Jeuck , Sam Hamlyn, John Clark, Fred Clark, Ben Miller, and Fred Engels. The honorary pall bearers were Nettie Shillen, Albertha Shilling, Sophia Lawinger, Mary Thies and Lena Thies. - The loss of this beloved classmate and friend leaves a vacancy an d a shadow that is deeply felt. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the grief-stricken mother, sisters and brothers in this their greatest sorrow; and shile we tender our sincerest sympathy to those who mourn the one they loved, we feel that word s cannot express what we fain would have them know. “we look within that darkened home, Where sorrow reigns in every breast. We question, why! We cannot say: WE only feel that God knows best.” - Card of Thanks We express our deep gratitude to th e classmates and friends who so kindly extended their sympathy and aid during the recent illness and death of our beloved daughter and sister.
