He had two marriages/partners. His first wife was Mawdlen Taylor. They were married, but the date and place have not been found. Their only known child was Ann (c1585-c1636).

His second wife was Jane Hopkynson, who he married on 17 JAN 1585 in Shawbury, Shropshire, England. Their ten known children were William (c1586-c1588), Rose (c1589-?), Thomas (c1590-c1625), Richard (c1592-c1593), Richard (c1594-?), Sara (c1595-c1595), Elizabeth (c1597-c1599), Lawrence (c1597-c1597), Francis (c1601-?) and Lawrence (c1602-?).

Note: would be about the right time and match the pattern observed for possible Hotchkiss births near London having a Hoskyns surname there. This is also about the right time for the birth of Sir Thomas Hoskins who was knighted in 1605, whom I’ve also included a partial tree for in this file, as these two Thomas’s are actually easy to mix up based on name and birth inforomation. So far I’m showing this birth record for both, as there doesn’t seem to be another which would either match the visitation pedegree of Sir Thomas with a father named Charles or the record of Richard son of Thomas below.
