Alvin was born in 1823 in New Plymouth, Ohio, the son of Solomon Finney and Catherine Bartlett.
He died in 1885. The place is not known.
His wife was Jane Latta, who he married on 11 APR 1855. The place has not been found. Their two known children were Helen (1858-1932) and Herbert (1860-1933).
